Ok, I have to share with you my horrible experience this week. If you don't want to read my much needed vent, please just skip down to below the first picture!! So I took on ordering flowers for my mother for Mother's Day from me and my sisters. We never send her flowers, but none of us knew what to get her this year so we went for it. We considered asking my father to go to the store and pick some out, but often he won't let us pay him back if we do this, so we didn't. I checked out the deals I had in my email and decided to order one from Teleflora. We decided to have them delivered on Friday because it was much cheaper than Saturday delivery. Then we found out my mother was going in for minor heart procedure Friday morning so our hope was that they would come while she was at it and be waiting for her when she got home. Well I kept calling all day Friday waiting for her to say she got them (I think she was wondering what was going on). She never got them. So I called Teleflora and after waiting for over half an hour on the phone listening to how wonderful their customer service is and how the quality of their flowers and delivery is so great I find out the florist is saying they were delivered without any signature, but since my mother and father (who knew they were coming) assured me they did not get there, they would call the florist and have them deliver them for Saturday. Well, again, they did not come. I called again. When I pushed the button for customer service and not ordering I got a message that they were no longer office hours and to call back (so much for their 24 hour service that I saw on the website). So I called back and hit the order button. I was told that the earliest they could have them delivered was Monday now. I was not happy. Not only did the not get there for Friday but now they wouldn't even be there for Mother's Day? The woman got a supervisor for me to speak to since I was a bit upset. The supervisor hung up on me!! Needless to say I cancelled the order. My father is getting my mom some flowers for tomorrow and I ordered through another company for delivery on Tuesday since that was the earliest I could have delivered to her area this late. I could not believe the supervisor hung up on me. If they had even offered to take some part of the outrageous delivery fee off since they hadn't delivered them twice I would have been happy, but they offered nothing but "I'm sorry." And to be quite honest I didn't really think they would get there on Monday either. So now I have learned NEVER to use Teleflora again. Just needed to share my awful experience. Thanks for reading!!
Ok, the Real Post starts here!!
I found this wool felt bowl on clearance at Michaels awhile ago. I actually bought two--one brown and one blue. I thought the brown one would make a neat bird's nest. I finally got around to making Hazel some birds for it. I needle felted her a light blue one following the directions in Beginner's Guide to Needle Felting by Susanna Wallis. I haven't added the legs yet which they used metal and I wasn't sure I wanted to. Then I tried to copy one with wings out. He has a white stomach, but I didn't get good pictures of it. This bowl is one I picked up the other day and am thinking I will make some more birds and give it as a gift to Hazel's teacher for the end of the year.Sharing Saturday is also still open!! I'm not sure why we were using plastic balls in there, but I figured they made good eggs until I get something to be the eggs.
We also found these wool felt purses and wool felt flowers on clearance. I sewed the flowers onto the purses. Hazel wants the blue one, but I figured the purple can be for a friend when we get invited somewhere and need a small gift.
Then you may remember a couple of weeks ago I featured a Felt Rainbow Sorting Game from One Perfect Day at Sharing Saturday. Well I cut one out for Hazel. I used the Eco felt since I didn't have all the colors in the wool felt.
I wish I had more time to make all the wonderful ideas I see at Sharing Saturday and on Pineterest and everywhere. Don't you?
This is where I link up...

Sorry to hear about the troubles with the florist! How frustrating! I hope you enjoyed Mothers' Day x
