In this fun book all the characters are animals and Mitford, a giraffe, has always wanted to work for Cover Magazine. She got her first interview a year ago but after buying a special head decoration that caused her to be itchy she lost her chance. Now Panda Summers needs a new assistant immediately and Panda has already said no to over 500 applicants. The non-human resource mouse pulls out the last stop and gives Mitford another chance. This time she is amazing and is able to solve all of Panda's friends' problems. The book has many fun details that one hears about in the fashion world. I love that the animals use their personal skills to be the solutions to the problems. For example when the dresses are too pouffy for the taxi, Mitford gets her giraffe friends to carry them in their mouths to the show location. Hazel asks me about the language of "kiss, kiss" which the fashion designers say to Panda when they leave and "sniff, sniff" when they are sad or upset about something not going how they want.

This is a very fun book with a little look at the fashion world. It definitely has a bit of humor for the adults reading it as well that go right over the little ones heads. The pictures are colorful but have black and white sketches for the surroundings which really make the characters pop. It really helps with seeing the problems and solutions as well.
