Fun Books for Toddlers and Preschoolers

Yesterday we shared some great religious books for babies. Today we sharing a couple of books for toddlers and preschoolers. The first book is by Oliver Jeffers and it is The Hueys in What's the Opposite? This fun book teaches about opposites. It is a fun introduction to the concept.
In Oliver Jeffers's way this book is fun and yet simple. The Hueys play a game about opposites. The book starts and ends with the question (and finally the answer) of "what's the opposite of beginning?" the fun goes from there and goes over common opposites like up and down and hot and cold and high and low. It is perfect for younger children just learning the concept of opposites.
Board Book

Our second book is the perfect book for the child that loves transportation and sounds. It is Blue Boat by Kersten Hamilton and illustrated by Valeria Petrone. It comes in a board book as well as a picture book. The board book is a simpler and shorter version of the story. However both versions are full of the boat sounds and Blue Boat being the hero of the day. Blue Boat is the third book in a primary color series with the other two books, Red Truck and Yellow Copter, already released.
Picture Book
The story is about a family who is stranded on their boat and a storm is approaching. The rescue boats go out, but have to turn around due to the storm except Blue Boat. Blue Boat makes it and brings the family to safety though. This book reminds me of books like Little Blue Truck and Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site. If your child likes those books, he or she will love this one as well.

Hope you check out these fun books for your younger children!! Enjoy!!
