Kid's Bunny Diorama -- a Crafty Weekends Post & Link Party

This week our craft is actually one Hazel made. She made it at a workshop at Paper Source this week. I happened to be the teacher of the workshop though. She picked to make a bunny themed diorama. We used the small vanilla (white) shirt box for the diorama. For the person and her clothes came from the Paper Doll Kit.  The bunny ears and bunnies were cut on a Cameo Silhouette. The flowers and leaves were from punches.

I love how Hazel's came out. We cut a pom pom for some fluff on the bunnies tails. Hazel also folded a piece of cover stock paper in half the long way. I helped her cut out a heart from the center to make the window and place to glue on the flowers and bunnies. Our first step however was to make the girl and then decorate the bunnies.

Hazel picked the dress from the Paper Doll Kit and accessorized with some of the various accessories. She used a scarf as a belt. While the girls and the bunnies dried, I showed them how to make the flowers. All the flowers were made with cover stock and three punches. I pulled out the Hydrangea Paper Punch for one type.

With several layers they make fun flowers. We curled the petals around a pen or pencil to give them some dimension. For the center of the flower we used a circle punch. I added some gold glitter glue on this one for a bit of dimension as well. The other punch was the Scallop Circle 2" Punch. We cut along the scallop indents toward the centers and then curled the petals for dimensions.

This one reminds me a bit of a marigold or carnation. What do you think? What would you make for your diorama?
