Nail Art - a Crafty Weekends Review & Link Party

Disclosure: Tuttle Publishing sent me this kit in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Today I am going to share with you a fun, new kit (well it is actually coming out August 15, 2017). Hazel was so excited when I showed this to her. It is Nail Art Kit. The book is by LaLilliMakeup. The box has changed since the one I received, so you will notice the differences in my photographs.

Now back in my single days, I always had my nails done and often had fun designs painted on my nails. Here are some shots of my nails at my wedding. This was a pretty calm mani and pedi for me.

This Nail Art Kit came with the supplies to make our own artwork on our nails including the instructions. Now our art was not nearly as professional, but we had some fun making these.

The kit came with a book, seven nail polish practice colors, dual-ended dotter and a fine brush plus fun gems and studs to add some sparkle. The book has twelve creative designs.

We tried my favorite the Magic Flowers.
Of course ours did not turn out quite as nice. Here is my toe. Hazel put the gem on for me. We wished we had grabbed some tweezers or some sort of tool for placing the gems.

Hazel insisted on painting her own nails. She did the flowers on her fingers.

Now my absolute favorite design in the book is the Cherry Blossoms. I have not mastered making good lines yet, so I have not attempted this one. Although I have promised Hazel I would do her toes for her again.

Hazel wanted to try some dots and stripes.

I failed at doing the stripes for her so she just did dots on her toes with a heart gem on her big one.

Now if flowers and dots are not your thing, perhaps you would like the Bunnies and Chicks.

Aren't they adorable? There is also Cartoonmania with animals and characters. They also have designs like Hollywood, Horizons, Black Snow, and Metal Moment.

The book also has information about nail structure, common problems and solutions, oils for nails, basic tools, nail art tools, applying nail polish and removing nail polish. What design do you want on your nails? Be sure to try this great kit and be able to do it yourself!
